Complete Bathroom Remodel Process

Here is our ten day average bathroom remodeling process from start to finish:
DAY 1 - DEMO
Demolition of old bathroom. Removal all walls and ceiling down to the stud. Removal of flooring down to original sub-floor. We will remove and replace any rotted floor areas. Remove all debris.
DAY 2 - ELECTRICAL
Electrician installs the ceiling fan light combo and make properly vented. Installation of vanity light circuit; this wire is left behind wall when installing sheetrock ensuring the light is centered after mirror.

DAY 3 - CARPENTRY
Carpenter installs new sub-floor using 1/2 inch plywood under tub & throughout floor. Installs 1/2 inch cement board over that to ensure floor will remain at the proper height & “another layer of protection.” Installs nailers in wall for the proper installation of tub and surround. Installs blocking for grab bars in wall if necessary. Installs new R-15 insulation in exterior wall if needed and installs new R-38 in ceiling if it is on 1st floor. 2nd floor is not required. Mark off for plumber what size vanity will be. Framing of medicine cabinet if necessary.
DAY 4 - PLUMBING
Plumber replaces old shower valves, waste and overflow for new sterling tub and surround. Plumber replaces feeds for the hot and cold water supply.
DAY 5 - SHEETROCK
1/2 inch moisture resistant sheetrock and apply first skim coat.
DAY 6 - SHEETROCK / PREP FOR PAINT
Sheetrocker applies second coat and sanding, made ready to paint dependent on drying.
DAY 7 - PAINT
Paint bathroom while everything is out of bathroom. There will be touch up after carpenter installs trim.
DAY 8 - TILE & GROUT
Installation of tile and grout in same day using rapid set if possible.
DAY 9 - CARPENTRY
Carpenter installs vanity, vanity top, installs all trim and baseboard throughout bathroom. Includes trimming out window and installing new window sill. Installation of all accessories – towel bar, towel ring, toilet paper holder, and curved curtain rod.
DAY 10 - FINISH WORK
Plumber finishes by installing all fixtures. Finish electrical – light fixture, fan cover, GFCI, receptacle, and switch covers.
